Bella was screened for high temperature and drought resistance, shade tolerance, low nitrogen requirement, infrequent mowing, adaptability to a wide range of soils, aggressive rhizomes and repair-ability, performance under drought conditions, dark green genetic color, spring green-up, and adapted use in cool-arid climates.

For years, BioGrass® Sod Farms has been the leader in the identification, research, development, and marketing of superior turf grass varieties. BioGrass sod varieties vary in color, texture and other features, but they all have one thing in common: lower water and maintenance needs.
The Intermountain West's first Bella Bluegrass trials were established at the Biograss Test Farms in the Fall of 2005. Bella has been subjected to rigorous tests to determine adaptability to the harsh conditions of the high desert of the Intermountain West.
For less mowing, specify Bella Blue from Biograss Sod Farms.
